Make A Difference In Your Community

Become a Hospice of Wichita Falls Volunteer

As a volunteer with Hospice of Wichita Falls, you can make a meaningful difference by providing friendship and support to individuals approaching the end of their lives. Volunteering can be a rewarding experience that challenges your spirit, fills your heart, and enriches your life. Our volunteers are compassionate individuals with a sincere desire to help others.

We offer a variety of volunteering opportunities at Hospice of Wichita Falls, tailored to your interests, schedule, and unique skills. You can choose to have direct patient contact by visiting individuals in their homes or spending time in our inpatient care facility. Alternatively, you may assist with administrative tasks or contribute to our bereavement program. Throughout the year, we also host several special events where your help would be appreciated. There is a volunteer opportunity for everyone who wants to be part of our program.

Training Sessions Available

We offer several volunteer training sessions throughout the year. We educate you on the hospice philosophy and the history of Hospice of Wichita Falls. You will hear from staff and volunteers in various disciplines within our organization to familiarize you with our person-centered approach to hospice care. Our volunteers learn how to give the gift of their hearts in providing emotional support, companionship and respite care to our patients and their families.

Beginning Your Volunteer Journey

We would like to encourage you to wait one year after a significant loss before becoming a volunteer. We invite those who might be interested in volunteering with Hospice of Wichita Falls to call one of our Volunteer Coordinators at (940) 691-0982 and discuss their interests with us so we can make your volunteer experiences as rewarding for you as it is for us.
