Grief is a deeply personal journey that can feel overwhelming at times. Our Coping with Grief sessions are designed to provide education, guidance, and support to help you navigate life after loss. These sessions provide a safe space for exploring your emotions, learning practical coping strategies, and connecting with others who understand the challenges of grief.

Sessions are free to attend and open to anyone in the community who has experienced the loss of a loved one. No prior connection to Hospice of Wichita Falls is required.

What to Expect

Each Coping with Grief session focuses on different aspects of the grieving process, providing helpful insights and tools to support you. Topics include:

  • Understanding Grief – Exploring loss’s emotional, physical, and mental impacts.
  • Adjusting to Life Changes – Learning how to manage new roles and responsibilities in the household.
  • Self-Care During Grief – Strategies to prioritize your well-being while navigating grief.
  • Coping with Difficult Days – How to handle anniversaries, holidays, and other challenging moments.
  • Honoring Your Loved One – Finding meaningful ways to remember and celebrate their life.

Sessions combine education, discussion, and support, allowing participants to gain valuable knowledge while also sharing their experiences in a compassionate environment.

These sessions are open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one, whether the loss occurred recently or years ago. You may benefit from these sessions if you:

  • Feel uncertain about how to move forward after loss.

  • Are struggling with changes in daily life and responsibilities.

  • Want to learn healthy coping strategies and self-care practices.

  • Need a safe space to talk about your grief and emotions.
